In the early days of World War II, a new German prototype was being created to test the feasibility of a long-range bomber. The aircraft was designed as a heavily armored, turbo jet propelled machine capable of carrying an impressive payload and breaking enemy defenses by striking from six different directions at once. Its designers were confident that the new design would finally put the end to Allied air power; they sought to eliminate what had been undefeated up until then: land and sea-based bombers that could inflict serious damage on Germany's industrial centers and military strongholds. But fate had something else in store for them. In January 1943, a British RAF pilot flying one of these experimental aircraft was shot down over the English Channel. In the crash, the aircraft engine was destroyed and not being repaired at their base. The British Government requested for another engine from the Germans, to which they complied. But the Germans added a secret weapon to this new engine: a suppressor that limited its emissions. The resulting weapon was a bomber that could travel over 400 mph and use cameras to "search out and destroy" targets up to 300 miles away. This aircraft would need only one person on board for it to have sufficient firepower to cripple London's industrial centers as well as its military installations, as many as three pilots were able for two planes. This aircraft would prove its ability to inflict significant damage on the Allied forces and in doing so it became known as the Vampire. The Vampire: The Beginning of World War III, Part 2 is an alternate history thriller that takes place in the 1980s where both sides of World War II were still waging war. History has been altered such that Germany is never defeated and began an attempt to achieve world domination with the help of a new weapon: The Vampire. The difference between this novel and other alternate history/future war stories is that it is non-sci-fi and realistic rather than purely fantasy so we can see how it plays with our real world world. It is also different in that it has two sides rather than one. The first side is the Allies, who are fighting to hold on to their freedom, mostly in the form of America, Japan and Great Britain. The second side is the Nazis, who are fighting to hold on to their freedom, mostly in the form of Germany. The war is still ongoing but it has changed into a grander scale that encompasses much more than Europe and Asia alone.
